ZEMBA’s next tender requiring e-fuels for primary propulsion is set to launch in January 2025. 40 companies have joined ZEMBA, including over 10 new members such as AIT Worldwide, dsm-firmenich, Frog Bikes, GEPA, Olyra, Pernod Ricard, Poly Medicure, Sanofi, SEKO Logistics, and Vaude.

OFFSHORE ENERGY – Germany’s container shipping major Hapag-Lloyd has won the first tender launched by ZEMBA. Starting in 2025, it will deliver greenhouse gas emissions reduction of over 90% as compared to fossil fuel service to ZEMBA members.

S&P GLOBAL – Hapag-Lloyd has won a tender from global cargo owners for the zero-emission shipment of containers from Singapore to Rotterdam that will cover 1.2 billion TEU-miles over a two-year period beginning in 2025.
The inaugural tender from the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), announced in Singapore Wednesday, is aimed at fast-tracking commercial deployment of green shipping services at scale to create a competitive market for those services.
